Our Story

The Comfort + Care Collective is a non-profit charitable organization founded by a 13-year-old in New York, that began with a simple observation:
while there are many incredible organizations dedicated to caring for those who are sick and for funding lifesaving research toward better treatments and cures, far fewer charities exist to focus specifically on supporting the families who experience illness alongside someone they love.
Through volunteering and partnering with Ronald McDonald House, our founder saw firsthand how deeply a serious illness or hospitalization can affect an entire family — from parents spending long days at a hospital and siblings whose lives are suddenly changed, to children worried about a sick parent or families caring for a loved one at home.
That realization inspired the creation of the Comfort + Care Collective, and the mission that guides us: turning compassion into meaningful support for families facing life’s hardest moments.
By bringing together volunteers, resources, and donations, we strive to provide comfort, practical support and moments of joy when they are needed most.
We want every family we support to know:
While they care for someone they love, there is a community that cares for them, too.
